~A day in Kuala Lumpur~

~Nisak, Yayan and me at the monorail station~
It's been ages, planning to go shopping around KL and FINALLY, the moment I've been waiting for, came last week. Although I'm old enough to wander anywhere I want, but it's not easy for my family to let me go outside Johore just like that. Fortunately, I was invited to a friend's wedding in Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan and I took this opportunity to bring along my niece to my sister's house in Seremban~hehehe, I'm trying to kill two birds with one stone. Our trip started at 1.50 am and we reached Senawang exit at about 3.30 am. We slept until 8.00 am and went off to Seremban commuter station around 9.30 am. We decided to use the public transportation since none of our friends were available on that day. It means that we have to manage everything ourselves.
A week before that I was browsing the net for the most accurate map of Kuala Lumpur and the public transport available. It is very useful for us as we are not very familiar with the LRT and Monorail stuff.

We went to Pavilion first as I was entitled to claim a door gift for The Face Shop Asia Tour.

~me n Nisak at the main entrance of The Pavilion~
~backdrop for the gathering, huhuhu~
~we were mesmerized by the beautiful Christmas decoration~
Actually, the new spoke person, Kim Hyun Joong was having a fan gathering at Pavilion, Bukit Bintang Entrance on  the same day. Since we reached there at 12 noon, we decided to skip him~huhuhu~ and went for lunch at The Nando's.
~a change of presentation, the taste is still the same as 7 years ago~
After claiming the door gift~a face mask and a poster of Kim Hyun Joong, we went to Berjaya Times Square. As we only have a day to kill, my two nieces spent their time in the theme park and both of us went shopping around the fifth level of the building. I went straight to My Stars Collection Shop, and got hooked up there for awhile. This shop is dedicated especially for all Kpop lovers only. They sell many items that only fans from Korea can get it. I did spend a lot here since I knew about this shop before hands. What did I buy? I'll tell you in the next post ya~~
At first I thought the prices for all things sold here were high but as we browsed around, I've found that they were really reasonable and much more lower than I expected. It even had a few shops that sold RM10 clothes! After awhile, I realized that branded shops are at the lower level, while at the upper level there are many shops that offer affordable prices. I love this place a lot!!

We will surely come here again next time and I recommended this place to those who live outside Kuala Lumpur and wanted somethings different to bring home.

~My typical holiday life~

Ahn-nyong-ha-se-yo?
I'm good and still enjoying my school break this week. In the blink of eyes yet, I have another 5 days to kill and as usual I will push my broadband bandwidth to the limit.
Yesterday, I didn't realize that I had reach my bandwith limit because I was busy drooling over Siwon in Oh! My Lady.

I LOVE ENGLISH!

http://rlv.zcache.com

Selamat Hari Raya to all muslims around the world.

I finally have the time to sit in front of my laptop n write again..

A few of my friends keep asking me how to polish/improve their English. I said-start your blog today!

Frankly speaking I'm not trying to show off with my English here but I'm trying to improve my English through writing. Although I am an English teacher, but i rarely speak English with my colleagues. Why? Most of them are Malay and I still have inferiority complex within me. Hehehe. I don't care if people criticize on my grammar or sentence structure. This is my blog by the way..

This Feeling Again!

credit to sueabubakar.files.wordpress.com

I can't help it, although I look really calm from the outside but inside.. I am really nervous...
My pupils will be sitting for the English UPSR paper on Thursday, but these nerve-wracking feelings had been following me since last week..Argh!

It's not like this is the first time I'm facing this kind of situation but.. Allah knows better..
I'm nervous, excited, afraid, worry... ah! u name it I have it hehehe

Yesterday we had the 'Restu Ilmu', since I am the Year 6 coordinator, I had to do the 'lafaz ijab penyerahan ilmu', I've been practising the text since Saturday and I thought I will be alright on that day. But it turned out differently.. I couldn't hold the tears that flooding in my eyes.. I stopped my speech for a few minutes to calm down. I turned around to pass the text to the senior assistants behind me but they were crying too.. I had no choice but to continue the speech with cracking voice.. hehehe. It's not that the text that made me cried but the moment-that very moment was different, I don't know how to describe it but I'm sure all teachers out there will know the feeling I had on that day.

As time flies, I do realise that being a teacher is the sweetest moment in my life especially when your pupils look up on you as someone really important in their life.

All the best to all teachers and pupils of SK Seri Gading. May Allah blessed us with His kindness and love always...

A letter to Kak Lela

credit to google images

Dear Kak Lela,

I keep asking myself until today, how I was able to sit near you, talk to you and even hug you without shedding any tears last Saturday. Miracle isn't it? Last time we met, during Canteen Day I think, I had to gather my courage to meet you. And as I expected, I couldn't even say hi to you. My tears kept on streaming down my cheeks. Fazlina and I just looking at each other without saying a word. Every time Fazlina asked me to accompany her to your house, I refused. I told her that I'm afraid we'll barely said anything at all there. Hehehe.

Maybe... just maybe.. we meet almost every day here and it makes me feel comfortable again. At least I have someone I could turn too every time I'm stuck in the middle of the lesson. Hehehe. Redzuan has been very helpful all this while, once when he told me he had to go somewhere for a week-my heart ached and I could feel my eyes filled with tears. Suddenly, I felt alone. I think he saw my almost-cry face. Hihihi.. At that time your health wasn't as good as now.

Right now, Kak Aishah is joining our panel permenantly. Yes! Yes! So now there are 4 of us in English panel. Although I'm happy Fazlina had the opportunity to further her study but deep inside my heart-I opposed and she knew it. Hehehe.. Yes, I know I shouldn't, but I have my own reason. Imagine this-you are my right hand and Fazlina is my left. So when you are not around at least I have my other half. But when she's also not here... mmm you know what I mean right? And again lucky enough Redzuan is here to lend a hand although he's also suffering with his kidney but he's trying his very best to help me. Alhamdulillah.. We managed to settle the SBOA together-Fazlina, we can survived without you!! Hehehe.. I really hope Redzuan will stay as he is now in the future. That is my Doa everyday. And hopefully he's not gonna transfer to Kedah when he gets marry.

Akak, you don't have to worry. Insya Allah we'll be alright. You'll be our Nazir from afar. Hehehe.. and also my walking dictionary. (^-^). I think I'll stop here now. Until next time..

Arghhh!

credit to chuvachienes.com

Oopps! I'm not really in pain but I'm really tired.
Last week was a very hectic week. We had 2 programs running on Saturday and Sunday. As I was responsible for 2 presentations on Sunday, so... I skipped the gotong-royong on Saturday. Hehehe. But... I still had to come to school since I had to teach the Year 6 Hikmah classes. (Ermm.. sama jugak kan). The 1st presentation was for Audit Akademik where I need to prepare 5 graphs and pupils' ranking for 4 subjects. (Berpinar2 mata) The other one was for Jejak Ikon where I need to prepare a slide show of our PPD. Jejak Ikon is same as alumni where we trace all the successful people that the school had ever produced, invite them to the school and introduce them to the pupils and parents as motivation and... hopefully they will contribute something to our school. Hehehe.. actually that is the main purpose of this program. Since he's a busy person, my reporters were able to meet him on Wednesday. They gave me the complete materials-biodata n pictures, on Thursday, I only have 2 days to prepare! I decided to use powerpoint instead of movie maker. Easier and less hassle.

Two days working non-stop my school lappy suddenly merajuk. My presentation didn't come out as I want it to be. Ya Allah, memang menguji kesabaran. I had to transfer everything to my own lappy. Fortunately it run smoothly and my beloved lappy didn't hang at all. Muah! TQ my dear laptop. This week we have our 3rd monthly test. Ah.. another marking session...

When I heard the news of YASMIN AHMAD I was numb. My heart ached. I felt like crying. It was a great lost for Malaysia. She was such a great and talented director. I love all her works especially 'MUKHSIN'. She was trying her very best to be different from others and she was instilling good moral values in all her films. No one will be ever replace her...

Again and Again

Have u ever had a crush on someone?

I did. A few times and.... Yes... I am now. Hehehe

When I was in Form 4, I had a crush on a boy from next door class. When I was in Form 5, I had a crush on my junior. When I was a part timer, I had a crush on my senior. When I was in matriculation centre in Kelantan, I had a crush on this one sweet guy. When I was in Uni... ah! I had a crush on a guy who usually loitering with his friends nearby our flat. When I was in Pulau Perhentian, I had a crush on a chef. When I was in... Oh My God! It has been a very long long long time since the last time I had a crush on someone! Oh My God what had happened to me!

According to Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary, 7th Edition, (mcm buat assignment plak) had a crush on somebody can be defined as a strong feeling of love, that usually does not last long. Yes! It's true. Although sometimes I feel like I had fall head over heels to him but it doesn't last long. When I meet someone better, cuter, more handsome, etc I intended to forget him. Hehehe...

During those days, that was the best feeling ever! Imagine... Admiring someone from afar. Gossiping about him without worrying getting caught by him because he didn't know about us! Ah! I miss those days....

Now... ugh! No one is 'yummy' enough to look at. Hehehe..

But a few weeks ago, I felt like I am having the feeling again. The feeling-trying my very best to spot him wherever he was, smiling alone whenever he passed me by, find excuses to be near him..hihihi and whenever I had a chance, I talked to him. I like the feeling, it's very... undescribable..

and..... TARRRA! My very own drawing!

Ah! Drawing was not my cup of tea. Susah tul! To be able to producce that drawing I had to spend almost half an hour. Padahal senang je kan?

Don't take my child!

"Ya Allah, aku redha dengan ujian Mu"

This poor mother keep repeating the same sentence over n over again. She just lost her 5 days-old baby this morning. According to the doctor, the baby was infected by some sort of diseases n early this morning he left his new family forever. I went there at about 930 am and her house was already full with neighbours n relatives.

Allah had granted her prayer by giving her a boy this time. After 9 months struggling with the pregnancy phase, she delivered her baby in the private hospital. Allah knows the best for everyone. He was able to survive for only 5 days. He took him while the family was rejoicing after the the baby was born.

The 4 sisters were excited to have the only boy in the family to come home. They were preparing toys and clothes for the baby. Unfortunately, today they only had the opportunity to see the small, dull face wrapping in a small, white cloth, lying on the bed. Slowly, the eldest daughter came to the bed and took a glance at the baby. Watching her struggling to hold the tear, her father broke down and cried. Silence took over the wide living room. Everybody was in tears.

I had the same experienced before. My brother had lost his15 days-old daughter last year. It was something undescribable. The doctor told us that if she managed to live, she won't be normal. I had to accompany my brother to the hospital for 15 days. She had to pass the 3 days stages. The doctor said in this kind of situation she would survive at least a week. We were waiting in uncertainty. A few days before she passed away, my brother told me that she was able to open her eyes n move her hands. I still could see the smile he had on his face that day. He looked happy!

On the day he brought her home, he managed to stay calm all the time, but I know he was sad and he tried to stay strong for his wife.

I always wonder how my sister-in-law manage to overcome the lost. I don't have the courage to ask her. I'm afraid it will remind her of her late daughter.

To all parents-Allah had given u His love through ur children. Guide them towards the right path and give them love while u still can.

AlFatihah to Siti Hajar bt Nordin and Mukmin Al-Amin bin Srafi.

The picture is not related to the story. I will write about this cute baby later ya!

Flirty Thirty?

OK... I'm not gonna hide my age anymore. I'll turn 30 this year.
Argh! Is it true? Oh, no! I'm getting old...

Hehehe, but to tell u the truth i don't feel old at all. 30 is just a number. Since i'm teaching these little cuties, i feel younger than my age. I watch Barbie, Pingu, High School Musical even Naruto, Mask Rider and Wonder Pets! (just to name a few). I have to know what the kids like the most in order to be close to them. The best part is when they tried to guess my age. Hehehe.

"Teacher, how old r u?"
They might asked. As usual, i let them guess.
"20? 23?"
Ah! I'm in heaven. As a small kid, 23 is the biggest number for age they know.
Best kan? I'll come across the same question every single year, but they still guess 23.
See... I'm young forever...

Once, my frens in secondary school told me that to look young, teach the young ones. I believe it now.

Start a New Day

It has been awhile since i wrote something here.

I have been busy with work n i am trying to make my life more enjoyable.
Does it means that i'm not happy? No. I am very grateful with what i have now. But, with tons of work to do i feel like i'm getting old faster than anyone else. Hehehe.
